I'm having some problems creating new CAM operations from saved templates. I select my existing operations and click 'Store as Template' and save the template to a file. Then, I create a new setup, activate the new setup, right-click the setup and click 'Create from template/Select Template.' From the file dialog I select my template and click 'Open'.
No new operations are added to the setup, which also does not have a triangle to expand the setup to show operations (I am aware that it sometimes does not show new operations until you expand the setup). I tried closing and re-opening my design thinking maybe they are there and are not being shown, but not luck. I am storing the templates in my own folder in my Documents directory (I am running on Mac OS). Thanks in advance for any help!
Hi there, Glad you were able to find a workaround for this - I was able to confirm this is a problem, only on Mac and I have logged it as ticket CAM-5122 in our bug-tracking system. In the meantime, as a workaround for using locally stored templates, you can save them to the default template location on MacFusion 360 CAM templates, and they will work from there.
